At last night’s stated meeting, we had the honor of presenting the 2017 scholarship awards. This year $2500 was distributed to these hardworking and dedicated young men and ladies to assist in their post-secondary education. Congratulations to all 7 of our scholarship recipients. Additional thanks to this year’s scholarship committee consisting of WM Keith Field, JW Christopher Wallace, and LEO Larry Powell.
We were fortunate to have a visitor last night come to our lodge and watch us initiate two brothers. The Grand Chaplain of Tennessee, Jackie Johnson was traveling in the area and contacted our lodge to see if he could stop by. Our answer was YES!! for sure. It was an honor to meet this fine Brother who has served his State so well. He enjoyed our degree and had some very kind words afterwards. We ventured downstairs and enjoyed fellowship and food. Thank you all who attended. Please join us for our Breakfast this Saturday morning beginning at 8 am.
All Officers and other Master Masons interested in development of lodge leadership skills are encouraged to visit Freemason University. It is an online resource created to share essential tools for the leaders of our craft. There are three main modules:
- Lodge Leadership
- Lodge Management
- Ritual Appreciation
Each have their own resources including video, audio and handouts. Enjoy the Journey!
Please come out this Saturday and enjoy the sweet labors of our best Chili Cookers. The festivities begin at 6PM and will be followed with a Euchre Tournament. Last year we had over 15 entries from four different categories. Bring your appetite or better yet; bring a pot of chili and see how it measures up. Please join us for the fun and laughter.
